Jx1. 6 water level
Hi all, maybe a silly question but just checking van over and observed that with the main coolant bottle cap off (the full one) the level is full. When I rev the engine this drops down the bottle and when the revs idle again it returns to full. Does that sound OK???

Re: Squeaky springs
Agree with the upper wishbone bushes. As for the remedy.... , replace the bushes. This involves wishbone out the van. follow this link to the wiki section and/or haynes manual is your friend. It's quite straight forward if you have access to a welder. :ok http://wiki.club8090.co.uk/index.php/Steerin...

Re: LDA Repair (1.6 JX)
Hi, I Got my kit from ebay and it came within a few days with clear instructions ( in English) including photos on how to do it. With care it is quite easy, you will need a grinder to take the lip off the LDA housing and drill your holes carefully as there isn't much space but It works well. the onl...

Re: Autosleeper vs Devon pop tops
I have a leisure drive pop top ( like a Devon) its very easy to put up, seconds in fact. It is best to use a pop top thermo blind in the winter to keep it warm and reduce condensation. I got a pucer screen a few years back its been very good :ok he was at Busfest . they are nice and cool on summer n...

Fitting as reverse . This was on a 1.6jx what is y...

So the van runs fine even 40mph up steep hills and apart from being generally slow ( it is a 1.6td camper !!) it seems fine . But checked the lda and manually moved the rod I can hear the air blowing out the nozzle ( with the tube removed ) but when I blank the tube off with my finger the arm return...

Re: bleed brakes before clutch?
Hi , From memory it goes back offside, back nearside, front offside , then front nearside. It's fairly easy with one of those vacuum bleeder efforts one person job then :ok ( note if you do use a vacuum bleeder , I put a bit of PTFE tape around the bleed nipple thread while getting the fluid through...
